Satartia Bridge - Yazoo City MS Haunted Place

  • 18488 Satartia Rd.
  • Yazoo City, MS
The Satartia Bridge in Yazoo City dates back to 1976 and is known to be a pretty erie spot. Local legend says if you hangout around the bridge long enough, you can hear moaning coming from the river below. Many believe it is the spirits of the Yazoo Indian Tribe, who marched into the river to their deaths because they refused to surrender to the French. Some also say it could be those who lost their lives when one of the 29 boats sank in the river during the Civil War.
