McRaven House
Vicksburg, MS 39180
The McRaven House of Vicksburg, Mississippi now operates as a "Tour Home" where visitors can visit and tour the property. The location also offers History Tours and Haunted Tours.
The house dates back to 1797 and has seen its fair share of tragedy. Andrew Glass, a highwayman, who was the home's original owner, made a career of robbing travelers on the Natchez Trace and ending up dying mysteriously. Other owners of the home had passed away inside as well, including a woman who died during childbirth and a man who was murdered by Union soldiers when he permitted the home to be used as a field hospital during the Civil War.
Visitors have reported seeing apparitions, hearing voices, and witnessing objects moving on their own. There have also been reports of lights turning on by themselves and doors slamming.
